Nitro.
| What Nitro Does | How Nitro Works | Drive Revenue | Get Started |
| Points | Sponsors can give away points in exchange for branding, viewing ads, taking surveys, etc.
Example: MasterCard sponsored a 200 SchruteBuck (points) Gift Card on NBC's Dunder Mifflin Infinity website. Users received 200 free points to spend, MasterCard received a great branding opportunity with a desired audience, and NBC received real sponsorship money to give away virtual currency. |
| Notifier | The Nitro Notifier enables site owners to message their users in real time via a "toast" mechanism similar to the way Microsoft Outlook notifies users of new emails. Notifier messages can be triggered as a response to an action being taken, a challenge being completed, or even a page on your site being visited.
The contents of the Notifier can of course be branded, and the Notifier itself is completely skinnable and can be branded.
|
| Avatar Builder | Avatar assets can be branded items. Assets can be static graphics or animated. Prices can be set on any asset, and quantities can be limited, so sponsored assets can be "exclusive".
Example: On Hearst Corporation's eSPIN.com, players can earn Rihanna's Chic 80's Skirt by completing a challenge. |
| Canvas / Virtual Room |
Canvas/Virtual Room assets can be branded items. Assets can be static, animated or interactive. Every asset can have multiple "states" and a zoomed in view. Prices can be set on any asset, and quantities can be limited, so assets can be "exclusive". Background images can also be branded, and can be static or animated.
Example: During Season 1 on NBC's Dunder Mifflin Infinity website, users could buy a model Toyota Corolla car for their virtual desks for 5 SchruteBucks. |
| Challenges | Challenges incent users to complete tasks according to rules that you specify. When the task is completed, the user can earn: points, a virtual trophy, an avatar or canvas item, or a server call can be made back to your server, so you can issue a custom reward (email, coupon, physical item, etc.)
Challenges can be branded (e.g. the Pepsi Forum challenge - post 100 times to the forums) with corresponding branded rewards (Pepsi branded trophy, avatar or canvas item, or using the server call - anything else - actual Pepsi goods, iTunes tracks, etc.). |
| Trophy Case | The Trophy Case showcases all the trophies that a user has earned by completing challenges, and enables them to track their progress toward unearned trophies. There is a Trophy Case Widget provided with Nitro, or you can build your own. Trophies can be branded for individual challenges, and the entire case can also be branded.
Example: Sports Illustrated partner site Takkle features a branded trophy for nominating other users for Sports Illustrated Faces In the Crowd. |
| Levels | Every level in the Nitro system has a name and an icon, and these can both be branded.
Example: The levels on a site could be named after the different cars in an Automobile companies lineup. (e.g. Level 1 = Yaris, Level 2 = Corolla, Level 3 = Camry, etc.) |
| Leaderboard | Each leaderboard can be sponsored (e.g. Top 10 Forum Posters brought to you by Coca Cola). The top X people on the leaderboard at the end of each day/week/month can be given a reward of an exclusive branded avatar or canvas item.
|
| News Feed | The Nitro News Feed enables you to surface, expose and cross-promote all the activities that users are engaging in on your site. This list can be filtered by an individual user, a group of friends, or the entire site. Sponsored messages can easily be added into this news feed.
